Overview

The goal of this design document is to outline the creation of a training program that will teach users a basic introduction SharePoint Online (SPO).


Target Audience

The target audience for this training program is SharePoint Online site owners, members, and contributors.


Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this training program, users will be able to:

  • Understand the basic concepts and terminology of SharePoint Online

  • Terms covered Lists, Libraries, and Web Parts


Course Outline

The micro training program will consist of the following:

Introduction to SharePoint Online Lists, Libraries, and Web Parts

  1. Overview of the definitions and uses for Lists, Libraries, and Web Parts

  2. Interactive video demonstrating how to create a list

  3. Course completion page, with a one question quiz


Course Format

The training program will be delivered in a self-paced online format, with the following components:

  • Video lessons and tutorials

  • Interactive exercises and a quiz

  • Resources


Technical Requirements

The training program will be built on the following technical requirements:

  • SharePoint Online tenant

  • Browser (Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge)


Development Timeline

The development timeline for this online training program will be as follows:

Week 1-2: course outline and content development

Week 3-4: video production and editing

Week 5-6: Interactive exercise and quiz development

Week 7-8: Final review and testing

Week 9: Launch


Assessment and Evaluation

The training program will be assessed and evaluated using the following metrics:

  • User engagement and completion rates

  • User feedback and satisfaction surveys

  • Quiz and assessment scores
