Actionable Re-design of a Mobile App

Updated: Jul 26

As a part of UX Design course I am tasked to redesign a fitness schedule application. The goal was to make the product more actionable based on what would be most important to the user. Below are the screenshots of the before and after.

The original layout is on the left, with the re-design layout on the right. The original design was an endless scroll of classes forcing users who wanted to see Fridays classes to scroll to the bottom. Or if they were searching for a specific class with a certain teacher they'd need to read all of the classes.

The re-design made the layout more concise and the schedule is sortable and filterable. Also for concept a reservation button added. The tagged content helps the user to more easily sort through the classes and find what they want faster.

Below are the annotated designs including the original design with the problems identified.

Below is my solution to the problems based on how I'd interact with the application.
