NODEJS and Front End

Updated: Jul 14

Focusing on Node.js and Couriers Courses

This week, I shifted my focus towards Node.js and embarked on a new learning journey through Coursera. Let’s delve into the details:

Node.js Exploration

Node.js is a powerful environment for running JavaScript code outside the web browser. Leveraging Google’s V8 Engine, it efficiently converts JavaScript into machine code. While it lacks browser-specific features like the DOM or localStorage, it provides essential APIs and modules for tasks like file handling and server creation.

Front-End Web Development Certificate from Coursera

The Meta Front-End Developer Professional Certificate equips learners with essential skills for a successful career in front-end development. Although I already possess knowledge in this area, I decided to consolidate my skills and pursue the certification to showcase my expertise to potential employers.

  • Explored the role of a front-end developer.

  • Studied core web technologies such as HTML and CSS.

  • Gained hands-on experience with modern UI frameworks like Bootstrap and React.

  • Created a simple webpage using HTML and Bootstrap.

  1. Basic React:

  • Mastered fundamental React concepts.

  • Leveraged reusable components for dynamic views.

  • Passed data between components using props.

  • Built interactive web pages and apps.

  • Worked with tools like JSX, VSCode, and React.js.

  1. UX/UI Intro Coursework:

  • Recognized the significance of design principles and usability.

  • Learned how to craft visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.

Next Steps

I’ll deepen my Node.js skills, work on real-world projects, and stay curious. Every line of code brings me closer to mastery.
